UNSBA CALL To Bar 2015, A Glaring Shift From the Years long Norm.

The Otegbulu Michael 2015 /2016 led UNSBA administration in practical demonstration of its resolve to place premium on excellence and never accepting the old ways as the only way, held in Grand, special, new and refreshing style, the Annual Students Call to Bar Ceremony. This year's event held at the Hon Justice Mary Odili Moot court Auditorium, Faculty of Law, University of Nigeria Enugu Campus, on Saturday, November 21st 2015.
As proven veterans in the act and science of achievement while still armed with the courage to dare, The UNSBA supreme Council in active partnership with the Executive Council approved, introduced and saw to the successful holding of the 1st ever UNSBA call to Bar dinner for the new wigs. This held on Friday, November 20th 2015 at Utopia Hotel, Independence layout, Enugu. More details about this events comes independently and shortly.
The UNSBA Call to Bar 2015 can be rightly described as a sterling gold plated success as we had successful individuals fly into the UNSBA city of Enugu from their Lagos base, to share in the new air of life being circulated at the students Bar and also impact on the new wigs.
In a bid to celebrate excellence in order to generate excellence, awards where given by UNSBA to Distinguished members of the outer Bar for the roles they play in the advancement of the legal practice in Nigeria..
Our awardees include the UNSBA patron and chairman of the days occasion, Chief Enechi Onyia SAN OON who bagged the Distinguished Legal Icon award.
The immediate Past chairman of NBA, Lagos branch, Mr Alex Muoka was conferred the Model Lawyer Award as was a leading public figure and Lagos based lawyer, Mr Jimmy Abia.
Other guests present at the event include Mrs Uche Nwonye who represented the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney general of Enugu State, Chief M.E Eze.
A member of the Enugu State House of Assembly and a lawyer, Barr Chima Obieze was also there with us on the day of history. The UNSBA staff adviser, Barr Nonso Attoh played the role of guide with commendable poise.
The Compere of this year's event, Prestige Anchors rightly posited during events proceedings that the "UNSBA of today is the NBA of tomorrow".
The Unec 019 Law Class now has a valid place in the composition of UNSBA as it got the best of the now, a shift from the norm admission into the students Bar community.
In the spirit of creative cooperation, the OTB led Administration calls on all members, friends of UNSBA and Distinguished Alumni to join hands, resources and resourcefulness to ensure the irreversible growth of our dear Association.
